Manolo Jiménez says the seized fuel oil was "passing through" and was not extracted in Coahuila.

SALTILLO, Coahuila (apro).- The governor of Coahuila, Manolo Jiménez Salinas, confirmed that the fuel seized in recent days in various locations in the municipalities of Saltillo and Ramos Arizpe was not extracted from the pipelines that pass through the state. This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Public Security, Omar García Harfuch.
During a working tour supervising construction, Jiménez Salinas stated that, in order not to hinder the investigation, he cannot reveal the origin of the more than 15 million liters of diesel, gasoline, and petroleum distillate transported in 129 railroad trucks.
"This fuel comes from somewhere else. There are different types of huachicol, such as the theft of fuel extracted from pipelines, and there is this type of huachicol that, according to investigations and statements, is not from the pipelines, but comes from somewhere else. I wouldn't want to comment on further details so as not to undermine the investigation," he noted.
He added that those operating this illegal fuel trafficking network had to pass through Coahuila, and it is here that they are detected and seized.
The president stated that they hope the results of these investigations will reveal those responsible for transporting the fuel.
"This has been a sequence of actions, and I hope this results in arrests, and we will cooperate 100 percent in that regard. However, that part of the investigation or that part of the process is in the hands of the federal government and the Attorney General's Office," he emphasized.
Jiménez Salinas maintained that this blow to crime is an example of the coordination that exists between state and federal authorities, and sends a message nationwide that there is coordination and significant protection.
He concluded that despite the actions taken to keep the state safe, Coahuila is not immune to these situations, which were detected and prevented from spreading fuel to more criminal situations.
